Hi guys, seminar is still on for this coming Saturday.
If you have not received my e-mail I must have lost track if you are on the list?
It will start at 10:00 with the picture tube setup.
Depending on timing and grabbing some lunch somewhere?perhaps jumping right into basic monitor repair.
The picture tube set-up will be a show and tell along with hands on.
The monitor repair will be a power point presentation along with demonstrations on how to identify circuits of a monitor. Explanation of a switch mode power supply.
Trouble shooting techniques etc.
May also venture into LCD's?
All to be wrapped up by 2:00
Cost is $40 for each session and I will be more than happy to try to answer any questions.
Hope you are still in and would appreciate confirmation.
It will be done in my garage/workshop at 298 Fairway Rd N Kitchener N2A2P2.
Parking is some what limited, so there is a small strip mall down the street, some parking across the street and around the corner.
Hope to see you then.
Still a little room left.
Rick

Re: Convergence/tube setup and monitor repair
Hey Rick;
Thoroughly enjoyed it and learned a bunch. I went in with electronics knowledge but very little about crt's other than general concepts. Came out with a much better understanding and hopefully some skills I can deploy sooner rather than later. At first I thought the convergence part was not going to be applicable to me, but now I know if I ever needed to do a tube swap with a yoke change, I'd feel more comfortable getting everything setup right. Thanks for that.
And yes I met a bunch of great guys, some of them forum members here, in person.

Re: Convergence/tube setup and monitor repair
Seems like the seminar went very well!!!
All the feedback has bee positive!
Already I have 3 more people wanting to know if I would do it again.
My target # is 10.
Anyone interested?
If so let me know?
I am open to content as well, such as LCD's Component testing...
