Re: arcade 1up machines almost here... price drop now $399 CAD

I'm glad we saw the price drop here. I think it would be sweet if Bed Bath and Beyond Canada carried them @ the same price and allowed use of the 20% coupon. I think the will certainly find success, even if just a niche market. I heard a YouTuber say it, you need to look at them like they were toys....

Re: arcade 1up machines almost here...

I think they seem cool as f**k personally. I'd like to see if they can be/will be hacked to add more games. Like many the price point is off putting, $300 US vs $500 CDN! $200 difference is quite substantial, then you add the tax, $565 all in. I think pricing them inline with some of the console sys...

FT: 4 17" ELO CRT Touchscreen Monitors For Trade/O.B.O (location Ajax)

Purchased these years ago in a group buy from CGCC. I have 4 17" ELO CRT Touchscreen monitors. - 2 are working perfect (when tested last) - 1 is working, but the picture is dim - 1 was on for minutes when I first got it, went POP! (or could have been a ticking sound) then nadda. I had the 4th m...

Re: Anyone been to Pop's arcade in Turkey Point?

I went to the Georgian Grill last weekend with the wife and kids. My brother has a cottage down the street so he took us on the tour. Cool little place with grub, ice cream, quite a few pins, the arcades and a bunch of redemption games. Kids never wanna touch the machines in the basement....but at t...

Re: Summer Projects....of the coin-op nature

Some cool projects, no doubt. It's a shame it was sooo hot this weekend. Too firkin hot to work outside. @Hammerhead, I think it was BYOAC a lil while back I saw this cool custom Frogger cabinet. Guy had green t-molding, and just some other unique touches. It was an awesome looking build. I just Goo...

Re: So... who got a NES Mini today?

Picked up two ...easily. One from EB Scarborough @ Morningside. They also had lots. The other EB in Pickering. Got both by noonish. Today I went to Best Buy to get my Google Home so I asked. Said they had many, but they were all reserved. Was ideal to call by 9pm and see if any were unclaimed. (That...

Summer Projects....of the coin-op nature

Anyone got any coin-op projects they are doing this summer ?? If so what ? New project, picking up where you left off an oldie ? I'd like to work on (and wrap up) my brothers Mario Bros cabinet for him. I've got all the parts in, it is just finding the time. I'd also like to spruce up my Foosball ta...

Re: Sega Genesis flashback

I also had the older version, 80 games I think, non HD. I'm not a purist, and I only game every now and again. I just like to collect stuff. To me for the $40 I paid @ Bed Bath and Beyond I won't complain. It has some fun titles and looks cool on the shelf, the price point wasn't so steep that it wo...

Re: Courtice, Ontario Flea Market Retrogaming Booth

For some reason I can't get on Kijiji these days. But I'd be willing to bet the booth is my buddy Lucas (AKA mkplayer1start from this forum and others). Super good dude, who both he and his two sons are really into retro gaming. He's a stand up guy! And his gets do YouTube videos are the Lo-Res Bros...

Re: Freezing Rain Weekends Are Good For..............

I love getting work done, and crossing projects off the list. Today my mother-in-law was iced in & unable to make it over to watch the kids. I had to take a day off (which I hate doing!)...so I did a little (very little) work on my Mario Bros PC. I was having issues with MaLa using my custom loa...

Freezing Rain Weekends Are Good For..............

I gotta say, I can't complain about the freezing rain this weekend. It kept me home...........and being at home I had time to revisit some projects. I'm super stoked that I made awesome progress on some of my projects. My Mario Bros MAME PC recently went, I tossed in another PC, but even that PC has...

Re: Anyone here have experience with appliance repair ? (oven issue)

I found a really good video on YouTube. Kinda hit right on the head what the issue could be. If its the main logic, its like $180-250 to replace. Time to scrap it I think. Today was 2 hectic with hosting Easter dinner. So I never got an opportunity to test all the voltages. I'll try and do it tomorr...
