FS: Golden Tee (from the 80s?) in Cobourg $350

Not mine, just saw the ad. 'Not working'. Looks like there's an ashtray bolted to it. Remember those?

No, but I wouldn't mind a Star Wars.

FS: Coin-op junk featuring 'Granny & The Gators' in Vaughan, ON

Not mine, just saw the ad. The pics make it look like a building with neglected coin-op junk. But there appears to be a Granny & The Gators under a thick layer of dust. Also Sente's Gimme A Break, Un-Scramble, crane games, 70s stuff... Looks like a dirty mess though. Only for the brave? https://...

Re: Anyone on here know how to fix a Sega Dreamcast?

Assuming no one can help you: Before society fell apart i'd suggest hitting all the pawn shops like cash converters to replace the whole console. I'd often see a few of them marked cheap. There's a better option though -- buy an sdcard converter like GD-EMU for ISO images. You can buy the original f...

Re: Check Them Batteries!

I've ordered tabbed CR2032 batteries to replace in a couple NES cartridges with saves states. The originals still work but they're 30 years old at this point. Hopefully they'll arrive next weekend.

Re: arcade 1up machines almost here... price drop now $399 CAD

I mean, there's no cigarette burn marks on the control panel, no rat piss smell and no "Suzy sucks dick" carved into the sideart. This totally reduces the nostalgia value for sure.... For real authenticity you can light a cigarette and mark up the panel, carve whatever message you want on...

Re: Time for a CGCC Glow Up

The 1Up arcades have become hugely popular. Maybe making a dedicated forum for them could attract new blood?

Re: CRT monitor repair needed

There are 3 monitors doing the same thing? That's very unlikely. 2 of these cabinets have 60-in-1's, those boards are probably too young to develop a display issue. I'd suggest adjusting some pots on the monitor pcbs but probably the reason you're asking for a pro to look at them is you don't know m...

This should be moved to Coin-op Corner. Also might want to attach some pictures of the scrambled images.

FS: Naomi Sega Crazy Taxi inside a Indy 500 cabinet

OK, which one of you guys did this? Not mine, just saw the ad. Located in Whitby. "Asking $375 Just want the game and console Asking $300 Sega Crazy Taxi inside a Indy 500 cabinet. The cabinet needs some work but the game operates just fine and the monitor needs to be adjusted etc." ...

Re: arcade 1up machines almost here... price drop now $399 CAD

My experience at auctionmaxx wasn't *bad* although it was a little confusing. Inside the small & busy front area they had a group of computers where you could get the item number from their website and order it with your credit card, but for some reason once I registered a website account and my...

FS: 4 player cabinet made into a 2 player World Heroes 2

Not mine, just saw the ad. Looks like the cab used to be Gauntlet or maybe Konami Turtles/Simpsons at one point? World Heroes 2 is in it now so maybe there's a Neo Geo 1-slot in it? Looks rough, notice the broke/melted coin acceptor on the right  "Located at Rexdale and 27 area. Asking $48...

Re: arcade 1up machines almost here... price drop now $399 CAD

Okay, these cabs have been out for roughly a year - have any CGCCers made the plunge to purchase one? What's your verdict? Cut&paste from my posts in the 1up thread in Anything Goes: I picked up the pacman and the centipede at auctionmaxx for cheaper since the finishes were a little roughed up....
