Re: PLaystation Classic
I grabbed one at the South London Best Buy on Thursday as well. I reserved it online in the morning and picked it up around noon. I didn’t see any more on display, but didn’t look too hard either. For $30 you can’t really go wrong. The internal hardware specs are supposed to be higher than the NES /...

Re: Vintage Tech Hunters TV show
I’ve watched all 10 episodes that have aired so far. It’s fun seeing some of the tech. Like most reality shows, the encounters with the sellers seem to be staged. I’m sure that most of the locations and items had been sourced in advance by the production crew. I’m not a fan of the “estimated profit”...

Re: Pandora Boxes - Opinion
Thanks guys. I appreciate the feedback. Will check out AliExpress. Looks like better prices than Amazon and cheaper.

Pandora Boxes - Opinion
As much as I'd love to have a standup arcade console, I just don't have the space for it. I've never liked cocktail models to play for long periods. Even a bartop would need a semi-dedicated space. I'm thinking of getting one of those Pandora boxes from Amazon. They vary in price between about $200 ...

Defender and Stargate. I just didn't like the controls.

Re: Anyone going to see the Tragically Hip?
Can't stand their music, it's like people think you HAVE to like them just because they're Canadian...I think they suck. Gord's voice makes my ears bleed... I agree with you 100%. I've always disliked "The Hip". That being said, I wouldn't wish illness on anyone. I am sorry that Gord has ...

Re: For you Sonic Fans
The game does look like a lot of fun. The original Sonic convinced me to buy a Genesis. This game won't convince me to buy a PS4 or Xbox One.

Downtown London IS pretty sketchy. Most of the other areas are fine. I feel far safer in London than I did when I lived in Toronto.

Re: Deep Fried Kool-Aid
I liked Kool-Aid as a kid. When I had some about 10 years ago I could barely swallow it. Tang is even worse. I'll stick to water...and the occasional beer.

Re: Anyone been to Pop's arcade in Turkey Point?
Wow. The last time I was at that arcade was as a 12 year old in August 1979. My family rented a cottage at Turkey Point for the month. I played the crap out of Royal Flush that summer. I don't remember any "video" games, just pins.

Re: Need help solving Mother's Pizza argument
I have fond memories of Mother's from when I was a kid growing up in Brantford. We went to one of their Hamilton locations with my grandparents all the time too. I still have a Polaroid from my 10th birthday at Mother's and one of their Coke glasses. An old school buddy and I met up after almost 30 ...

Re: What is the coolest thing in your gamesroom/man cave/garage ?
@Davester - Love the parking meters. My Dad has one like the 3rd one in your post. His has the complete outer housing. He "picked it up" in downtown Brantford back in the 70's. As kids my brother and I would drive our parents nuts by putting change thru the meter to run it up to the...

Re: Test Bars of Death - Colecovision Flashback
I'd suggest just replacing the console and keeping the dead one for parts. As I'm sure you know, boards like that aren't really designed for any kind of repairs. Bed, Bath and Beyond was the only seller in Canada. They do show the Colecovision Flashback in stock at the Cambridge and Kitchener stores.
