Re: is this a good deal?

I'm sure people do their homework and see what things are worth. and who wants an LCD screen in that thing? he trying to sell the cab with the LCD saying the crt is big and heavy forgot that...

Re: GOOD TRADERS/BAD TRADERS "UPDATED" + format rules

Just wondering if anyone has heard from silver matrix? Gave him a deposit and deal didn't go through. Said he would give it back but no word for a couple of months. I have sent him messages and e mails but no reply. Just want my money back that's all. Just wondering if you ever caught up with this ...

Re: Has anyone ever worked on one of these?

Yes, from what I gather it's working, just the monitor is glitching, not sure. Unsure if this has been recapped or not as well. I guess it wouldn't hurt to look anyway. I assume these things are only black and white, no separate RGB circuits?

Has anyone ever worked on one of these?

It's a Lear Seigler ADM31 dumb terminal. He says he's not getting a steady high voltage off the anode, even after replacing the flyback. Asked me to have a look at it.

Re: Anyone able to identify these?

Do you have a programmer? Sure way to tell. I do have a borrowed one currently and will try to match the roms if I can figure out how. But that could still leave me with a weird pinout that I won't know how to make an adaptor for. Hopefully I will be able to find pinouts for them but won't know unt...

I've never used stencils before. Don't you have to be somewhat experienced and also spray them on? I never really did much research into that route.

What kind of quote? Been looking to get some artwork done for my Pacman. Mostly what's out there is around 250 US for the 2 sides and front.

Re: Anyone ever find cabs on the side of the road?

I found 2 4-slot Neo Geos in the dump once. Took them home. Scrapped the cabs, restored the control panels, monitors worked great. After new batteries and a couple fixed traces both pcb's fired up. Also the was about a dozen games inside. That was a very profitable pickup.

Re: Repairing a k7401

The 7400 series can be a pain. I've done one or two of my own in the past. Sounds like something in the HV section. Would do a capkit and possibly has some other failing components. B+ is a pain because of the amount of glue some used to keep it in place. If you have no experience, you are safest to...
