Hi Mark! I'm glad we agree, but I have to admit that I have no idea what I said to you in my last PM in 2016.
Hope you're doing well!!

Space Invaders board repair
I have a client with a Space Invaders that has some issues. He's interested in having the boards repaired and figured I'd look into it for him. I have no time to devote to working on vids right now or else I'd figure it out myself. Anyone around here competent with repairing a Space Invaders? I coul...

Ms. Pac/Galaga Reunion monitor question
I'm trying to figure out what model of monitor is in a Ms. Pac/Galaga reunion. I have to fix one for a dude who lives a bit of a distance from me, but he can't figure out how to take photos of the identifying features of the monitor, no matter how I explain to him what I need. Trying to figure this ...

Re: Why do a cap kit, instead of a brand new board?
Anyone want this Hantarex polo chassis? Flyback was new like 6 months ago. Caps too. No idea what the problem is with it. It'll hit the garbage eventually. Pay for shipping and it's yours. Figure about $15 in Ontario.

Re: Why do a cap kit, instead of a brand new board?
I got one of these replacement chassis off Rick and installed it this weekend in KI2. It works great! Nice picture and was easy to install.
Thanks, Rick!

Re: Why do a cap kit, instead of a brand new board?
What I meant was, if the voltage regulator *shorts* it will definitely blow the fuse.
I will check the B+, though. And then I'll CRANK THE PISS OUT OF IT.

Not to hijack this thread, but if the voltage regulator is bad, it blows the fuse, no?
I've done the lightbulb test successfully, indicating that the power supply is fine.

Re: Why do a cap kit, instead of a brand new board?
I have a Hantarex Polo 25 on which I replaced the flyback, HOT and caps. It worked great for a few months and then died again. Replaced the HOT again and it blew immediately. Now I'm searching for a non-Hantarex solution without necessarily replacing the tube. Sent an email your way, Rick! If anyone...
