Last few years it seems to be ridiculously overpriced, so I gave up looking on it.

I continue looking, but not a lot that comes up in way of vintage, and deals few and far between if any

No, am not this old, but I've bought vintage (1930ies, 40ies, 50ies) Steiff stuff bears. Mainly for my wife at the time.

Re: Vintage Tech Hunters TV show

Didn't realize it was a Canadian show, considering they mainly hit markets in the US? Only seen maybe 2 episodes where they were in southern Ontario

Missed the one yesterday and Discovery doesn't have any episodes online since like the first few done.

Re: Who Does Board Repair?

Callan Brown, but I think he's mainly/only on Facebook, he's Oshawa area, but I've shipped my MC board to him and was fixed perfectly and a quick turn around (I guess it depends on how much troubleshooting needs done or what needs repaired)

Re: Outdoorsmen Please Look Here

Same here. Never seen one before, frequented fields and areas in a local creek/ravine I used to live near in Oakville. Recently took my son out for a hike in same area, got in the car and started driving home. Looked down on my leg and saw a tick. Immediately pulled over, we both got out and found 8...

Re: The Pinball Doctors: The Last Arcade Technicians in NYC

Curious (right in first few minutes of video) how they can make the claim that the # of people capable of repairing pinball machines is as low as they think/say it is? Maybe #'s are low for those who actually make a living doing it, considering how many hobbyists like ourselves repair and maintain t...

Knock out which wall? It depends on what is on the other side of that, they must have worked the wall around something else in basement, furnace room area?

Wife lost her job, and we were being careful on expenses (plus having to buy tires for my vehicle). So I didn't sign up sorry. :(

Re: Repair help on a Galaga CRT in cabinet

The main board for the monitor (not the small PCB board at bottom of tube/screen), on the lower edge is where you'll probably want to try to adjust the vertical height.

Something could have gotten bumped/knocked, causing it to shift.

Re: Repair help on a Galaga CRT in cabinet

Easy, there's a vertical and a horizontal height adjustment knob on the monitor that should reposition it properly on the screen. Usually on the bottom of the main PCB board for the monitor:

Re: CGCC Fall Swap Meet Nov 12, 2017 1-4 PM

Quick question. I've been to events here that are primarily console games. Will that be the same here? Wondering if there will be opportunity to bring arcade cabs. / parts for the swap Mainly console stuff, never seen a full cabinet, the odd time a vender may have a PCB or two on their table. That'...
