Re: Dead cart :(
Thanks for the replies. I'm not technically inclined, so I will likely just give it away as a non-working cart.

Dead cart :(
I bought Batman for the Genesis off ebay a while ago. Popped it into the console last night and was greeted with a blank screen. Cleaned contacts with 95% isopropyl alcohol, still nothing. Opened up the cart, used a white rubber eraser to make the contacts suuuuuper shiny. Still nothing! Anything el...

Massive NES lot on ebay.ca
Not my auction. But 589 carts is a LOT of games  0.99 cent starting bid and free shipping, too. Anyone tempted? :D https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Massive-Nes-Lot-589-Games-Nes-Nintendo-100-Authentic-Canadian-Seller-Read-Info/112925476151?hash=item1a4ae20537:g:3WcAAOSwahZaysAm

Where do you guys get your games these days?
I'm dipping back into collecting after a (several year long) break. Finding the scene has changed a lot. Not so many people selling/trading stuff on forums any more, and prices have shot waaaay up. Now there's also Facebook groups to contend with, too. Kijiji is just nuts. Wondering where everyone s...

Re: What happened to this site?
Ya I miss the good old days around here where people would trade and buy casually, now with all those damn millennials :P it’s all about instant collections and buy it up fast at any cost it seems. Took me years to get the games I wanted but I guess I am just getting old and tired of this new scene...

That's awesome, RayB. I recall you also worked on Cool Spot as well, if I'm not mistaken How many console games did you work on back in the day? Which ones were they??

Re: Sorting Out ROMS
CLRMAMEPRO and dats from No Intro's Dat-o-Matic . Little bit of a learning curve, but you can use Parent/Clone dats for consoles and filter by region and do "1 game 1 Region" which leaves you with the newest revision rom only. ^ This. It baffles me why people bother distributing romsets w...

Re: Looking for Sega Genesis system box only?
I know Toyratt in Milton (https://www.facebook.com/toyratt/) has a bunch of Genesis system boxes, at least from what I've seen on his youtube videos. Not sure how many contain systems though. You may want to give them a call and check.
I wouldn't pay more than $15-20.

Re: Best option for retro console emulation
Raspberry Pie with RetroPie package installed is probably the most flexible and user-friendly option for you. You can download a RetroPie image for free here: https://retropie.org.uk/ As for controllers, I use a wired Xbox 360 usb controller when playing emulators on my PC. Got it for about $30 on A...

I'm a big Genesis fan so I'll chime in with some suggestions. Doesn't look like you enjoy RPG's? Alisia Dragoon Arcus Odyssey Battletech Crackdown Herzog Zwei Thanks!! You know, I've never been much of an RPG guy. I'm more into the mindless run 'n gun, space shooter, fighting game genres! With the ...
