Luckily no glitches like that one, just honest to goodness RAM error and vertical lines on the ship/bugs.

Thanks. May be power, I have to test what it is reading at the board. I know there has been RAM issues from the start, it reads a solid error now for 2H, which is one of the 2114 It happens to coincide with me cleaning edge connector, grounds and fuses/fuse block. However this shouldn't have reduced...

Neat, seen a couple of his YouTube videos, did not realize people compete in Ontario with pinball.

That has got to be the worst conversion I have seen on a MS Pac Man, holy crap!!! Good job bringing her back to life. If you need a control panel for the Galaga, let me know. I have a spare. Cheers Thanks! Even the marquee was just cardboard with red vinyl letters on it. Did not know what I had whe...

Ya, I'd need the right soldering equipment to remove those. If it came down to having to replace those, I'd send the board off for repair or just get another fully working video board.

All six 2114. One of them was reporting bad (error stays on start up), figured best to replace all six.

Will see if I get desperate or not. :) Power board works, but is flaky, causing hum bar, so it is just more of a nuisance at moment. Darn RAM on the video card failed though, have 6 new IC chips on order through Sayal, which will hopefully also fix the original vertical line issue I was having. I'll...

Re: Hello from Cambridge!

Working and good condition Galaga power PCB (mine works, but cause of hum bar) I'm not a big fan of Galaga power supply boards - even after installing new filter caps, they often don't give a clean source of power to the PCB. I'd replace that power board with a modern switching power supply if I we...

Reviving the "classic arcade"

Have to admit, I can't stop thinking of a plan/idea, to open a classic arcade. I guess similar to Just Push Play up in Collingwood. My whole idea is a decent sized location, all classic arcades (mainly dedicated, maybe a few with some form of multi-game). Ability to have groups rent out the space fo...

And yes, that is the Galaga that was at Shackelton auction. It is rough, but complete, main issue is the monitor is not correct (and mounted on plywood currently). There was $35 in quarters in the box too. Not entirely sure if control panel original, apart from the generic overlay on it (no Ga...

This one -----^

From my understanding, will be a mix of video game console stuff, and hopefully arcade stuff too. Will be worthwhile at least to meet some people there. :D
