It was exactly that cabinet that inspired me to make my own wooden monstrosity. It comes full circle.

Re: Best Cabinet?

I do enjoy my fair share of TATE games, that's for sure. One day I would like to have a cab dedicated to each TATE and YOKO setup. Right now I'm using a 20" PVM on my crappy (but functional) skeleton arcade stand. It's no problem for me to rotate the monitor without assistance or tools with th...

Re: Best Cabinet?

Honestly if you are a fan of candy cabs then go for one. Judging by the cabs you've listed and even the cab you've pieced together that's the style you're into. They are generally awesome cabs that are well designed and much easier to work on than most woody cabs. Removing monitors, game boards, co...

Re: Best Cabinet?

Get an HS-5 cab as your first cab, and you won't be disappointed ;-) That was one of the cabs I was trying to remember the name of. Thanks for the tip. This is the cab that many games from Capcom and other vendors used in the 90's. Correct? I also assume that it will be a lot easier to get than say...

Wow! Nice! Care to share any pics?

Is your seated or standing? I'd love to hear the story about how you acquired it. What games do you play on it?

Best Cabinet?

Hey guys, I've been pining over owning my own arcade cabinet, and while I'm not yet ready to pull the trigger (I have a decent home-made skeleton cab for now), I'm doing a bit of research to figure out which cab is right for me. I'm hoping you guys can weigh-in on my thoughts with some of your exper...

Re: Free MVS carts (leftovers)

Ahoy! I just arrived in Halifax (I'm on honeymoon) from Toronto. Is this awesome MVS opportunity still a-go? If so I would love to take some of these off your hands. Perhaps we could met somewhere? Would save me on the S&H. Yes, I have my wife's permission to bring MVS carts back from my honeymo...

VGCC Waterloo Swap Meet

Hey gang,

I'm thinking of making the trip from Toronto to Waterloo for the VGCC Swap Meet this Sunday May 29th http://www.vgcc.ca/, and I'm wondering if any of you have been there before, and can comment on if I would see any arcade stuff there. Mainly looking for PCBs and MVS carts.

Re: I made a Pause button for arcade PCB

I was able to finally test this on another Motorola 68000 based arcade PCB - this time it's Data East's "Robocop". As you can see in the video, I'm using the same setup as before, and pause does indeed work as expected without any side-effects on this Robocop PCB. https://youtu.be/6-x4bYoi...

Are these games real? eg. do that have CRT's and real PCBs, or are these just n-in-1s with LCDs?
