Re: PS2 Collection interest check

It should only be another 2 to 4 years before the "PS2 Generation" starts hitting the job market and looking to buy nostalgia. That's a crazy good point - wait until the generation that grew up with it has disposable income to blow on nostalgia  I thought that generation can't find g...

Re: Trolled by a Cineplex arcade

People don't think about what they are paying when they play games today (we're in the age of microtransactions). Why is it just today? This has been around for over 25 years, just look back to Double Dragon 3. You get power ups by actually paying for them with real cash. http://i66.tinypic.com/2u7...

Re: PC issues.....wanted an opinion.

The drive that failed was a Seagate.....an old Seagate tho. I think I have some isopropyl alcohol that I got from Dollarama. I'll give that a shot tonight. Thanks Speaking of PVR's ..... years ago that Rogers tech guy that came to my house gave me this Rogers extra storage thingy. I think it is a 1...

Re: PC issues.....wanted an opinion.

Just curious, what was the brand of hard drive that failed? Weird how that factory direct computer features Windows 8 but uses Windows 7. To me the hardware is probably poor quality crap that will just break down in a couple years. To clean fingerprints I would use isopropyl alcohol, it's what I use...

Are you going to start taking pics? You could start at least 3 new threads a day with those pics.

Try BakedBeanSalad, I'm going to assume that won't have any problems with the registration process.

So not a 166Mhz processor, it has to be an older one?

Re: Are responses like this to ads commonplace?

When you get a text message "Can u hock up the enternit w a uab cable" from someone, then you'll realize we're doomed (yes, I got this very message). I got plenty of email messages just like this, it's not unique to text messages. If anything it's better with text messages now as they're ...

Re: Pong Chip help on old machine. How to test?

Just wondering, how do you have it hooked up? If you're using a newer NES type automatic switchbox it won't work, it needs to be an older manual switchbox or the modern replacement adapter. I've known a lot of people who accidently hooked these up wrong and had similar issues because of it.

Right now I'm using IE and I can read the story just fine.

I would sooner use Opera than Chrome, even though they're both using the same engines now.

Re: I think my PC is overheating...what to do ?

If you haven't opened up the case yet then you can't be sure what's causing the problem, it could be that the PC is full of dust causing it to overheat. If it's powering on but the monitor isn't showing anything, it could be a dead CPU or dead RAM, it's unlikely for them to just die but it's possible.
