Re: What happened to this site?

I ended up selling off my gaming collection and buying a rental property with the money. Wait, are you telling us you sold your collection and bought a house with it? LIVING THE DREAM! Can I invite you over to my house for dinner so you can share this story with my wife? Do you think I could trade ...

I enjoyed the thrill of the hunt. Once retro gaming exploded. It has become near impossible to find stuff in the wild for a decent price.

I have met some great people on this site over the years 8)

Re: HDMI to component adapter?

Between the downscaler and the video capture device... I could see why it would lag. It's going from a digital signal to an analog signal.

Sorry to hear what you are going through.

Re: Looking for Nintendo Component mods/line fix.

leonk does amazing work. He did the NESRGB Mod to my top loader with the 3d printed plate install of the snes style a/v connector.

He comes highly recommended from everyone for very good reasons!

Re: PS2 Collection interest check

You should check the value of the collection as a whole and see if its better off selling as a lot. The amount of hours to sell individually would be insane if sold at the swaps. I see tons of cheaper filler titles at swaps that never sell for PS2.

Re: IC: I do RGB mods, cap kits and retro console repairs

You say you do HDMI mods to the Nes system? How is the picture quality vs using an AVS from retroUSB? I was thinking of getting a AVS to be able to play Nes games on the newer TV's There have been two big issues with the AVS thus far. One was the USB port's breaking for power. The other is that the...

Re: Anyone tried boiling their NES connector?

I have done this to quite a few systems. I watched a few youtube videos on it.

I bend the pins a bit with a safety pin as some need a little re-adjusting.

Disabling the lock out chip is a must as well, which can also be done with a safety pin.

Re: New TMNT successor

I REALLY wish cel shading would disappear...it doesn't work on 99% of games it's used on. Borderlands and Wind Waker are the ONLY titles that it works on. SFIV and SFV looks stupid because of it and this would look better without it. If it's meant to look cartoonish, make it look cartoonish...cel s...
