Radiant Silvergun

Default settings:

Level: 3 (normal)
Player stock: 3
Extend Type: 1000000/5000000
Pause SW: Off (duh)

Some notes:

If you are playing on Saturn or 360: Please use arcade mode.

If you are playing on ST-V: I do not recommend using USA region (they nerfed the number of buttons. Japan is 3, US is 2 - losing a few weapons!)

I do not recommend using auto-fire as it prevents many weapons from working correctly.

Radiant Silvergun wasn't functional in MAME the last time I checked (sorry!), but let me know if this has changed.

Please note the game starts on stage 3 (not 1).

My best score yet! Not amazing by any means, but hard to get. I really started seeing my score climb when I started chaining red enemies... And not dying ;-)

I've never heard of this game before, but after Googling everything about it, it looks like an awesome shmup :D

Yes! This is an excellent game, that's for sure. I originally passed it over for the likes of Battle Garegga, but man. Radiant Silvergun has in this past month of score-chasing become my favourite shmup, as well as one of my favourite games on Saturn. At first I was turned off from the polygon graphics, but upon closer inspection you can see that only the bosses and a few backgrounds are polygons. The rest of the game is pixel art - which I much prefer.

It's a slow and methodical game rather than a guns blaring (although guns blaring is a good strategy too). It's an incredible mix of shmup as well as aspects of a puzzler in regards to not just beating the game, but getting that high score by chaining certain colours of enemies. I've been consistently playing each day for the past month, and really upped my score. I still have a long way to go before I get a 1CC on this baby.

highly recommended!
