So long and thanks for all the fun...

Postby omnedon » Sun Dec 01, 2013 3:17 pm

For those of you who remember who I am, I just wanted to throw this out there. I am shutting down OSG Service (formerly oldschoolgamer.com) on December 31 2013.

http://osgservice.ca/

I had a great run, but it's time to move on. OSG hasn't done anything classic gaming service wise for a few years now, but back in 2004 to 2008 we were repairing classic consoles from literally everywhere. South America, UAE, Europe, Japan, USA and of course Canada!

For those of you who have no idea who I am, nothing to see here. Move along. :D

Though I have no idea who you are, sorry to see that you are closing down as any service such as the one you provided helps perpetuate the hobby. Good luck in your future endeavours.

I had my Nintendo refurbed by you thanks to GameNow (which closed years ago). It was a terrific service!

I had you repair and AV/S vid mod my atari 2600 back in 2006 or 2007 Great service but since then I've been in school for electrical engineering for two years now so this doesn't really affect me. None the less best luck in the future, where ever it may take you.

Sad to see your business go omnedon. Was great to have a local specialist in retro hardware in Edmonton!

Speaking of the devil. I was wondering what happened to you just the other day. So many people have changed from what the scene was a decade ago. I was also surprised to find out that you managed to run your business with an ever growing family! Cudos to you and your supporting wife.

Good luck.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It's definitely bittersweet, but change is good. The good times I had with OSG and being with the CGCC from the very beginning are something that is part of me now. And I'm richer for it.
