Wanted! Atari 5200 set! PSOne up for trade!!

Postby omnedon » Tue Jun 10, 2003 8:40 am

Let's get this thing rolling!

I've got a nice PSOne (the little white one)
that I don't need. Complete with nice white Dual Shock 1 controller, RCA out cable, and AC adapter. All tested and working great! No games. I can even
supply it 'backup enabled' , if a collector wants to be able to backup his owned games and play the backups, to reduce wear and tear. (it isn't backup
enabled right now)

I'd really like a complete, working Atari 5200, with some common games. Ideally with 2 controllers, and all necessary
wires.

PM me!

I got the goods. I can set you up with a decent 5200 set with probably
10 commmons and 2 controllers. Only catch is the PS needs a new fuse. Alternatively, if you have a genny 2 PS you can splice the tip and it'll work like a
charm. PM me if this sounds like you can work with it. I can keep the price quite low but shipping is always a killer with the 5200 monster.

That does not sound like a technical problem I can't get past. :) I have spare AC adapters up the wazoo. I assume you have
no need for a PSOne?

One thing about shipping, we canadians seem to be getting screwed. I can often ship the exact same item to the southern US for
half of what it costs to send it to eastern Canada (I'm in Alberta). Bizarre!

I thought you might have one congobongo! There are different
types right? 4 port and 2 port? Which is this one? Are there drawbacks/pluses to one or the other type?

I assume it's bigger than my 7800?

Since I have 3 4-ports
right now and only 1 2-port, I think I'd like to unload a 4-port. My preference is the 4-port as:
a.) it's the original
b.) all the games run on it
(pifall! and Mountain king won't run on a 2-port without a BIOS upgrade)
c.) that auto-switchbox is crazy but cool

Bigger than the 7800? Ha, it's
bigger than the XBox!

I have a spare AC I picked up, that's Atari, with the RF attached to it. It sounds like a 5200 one. (I've suspected this for a while). A
4 port sounds like what I'd prefer anyway.

Bigger than an XBOX? It must have it's own gravity! Holy Moly, it's gonna be like shipping a TV!

Get me a price. I'm interested. If you want to hold off until you hear from the CV guy, that's fine. No rush.

Alright, the 4-port's controller holder lid has some pretty
serious scratches in it. Is that alright? You may be able to win a dead unit with a nice lid for cheap and just have them ship the lid. Or I have a nice lid
that's broken that may be able to be bonded. Let me know which you prefer. I have quite a few controllers, just a matter of finding the best two. If you
want to take your chances on the switch you have that will reduce the price as well. The switch goes for $15 on its own. That aside, I have 16 unique games
to go with it. They are (cart-only with the exception of a manual and an overlay here or there):
Missile Command
Kangaroo
Pac-man
Super
Breakout
Pole Position
Centipede
Vanguard
Dig Dug
SA Football
Mario Bros.
Space Invaders
Counter Measure
Defender
Star
Raiders
Galaxian

If you want all the games, I'll set a price for that. If you just want some, let me know which ones. Though as you know, once you
start...

Well if our august leader can't set you up :D then
there is one on
ebay right now that is being sold out of B.C. Given
how rare it is to find in Canada it might be a good score if you want
to try save a little on
shipping (provided you are in the same Region
due to the posts new bs rate).

I bought some 5200 games off this seller a month ago.

Thanks
Tyranthaxus.

I'd be interested in the whole kit and caboodle (5200). Perhaps we can work something with that, and some other things for that PS2.
I'll be in e-mail touch too.
