You know whats cool about that pic (besides EVERYTHING!) ......he actually has the correct Jordan representing each number. 1 is indeed the Jordan 1, 2 the Jordan 2, etc, etc.

I've had to slow down in anticipation for kid # 2......... but I'm still a sucker for a deal.

I've found it is best to just not look !

Well I know I'm definitely not into shoes.

I look at a picture like that and I see a bunch of shoes hanging on a wall and there is not a chance I would have any idea what any of them even are.

Now if you had a bunch of random motorcycle parts / paraphernalia hanging on a wall I might have a chance of naming the bike they belong on.....

I have one pair of sneakers (aside from my orthopedic running shoes) that I wear practically everyday and will continue for years (hopefully) until they fall apart. I drove all the way to Vaughn Mills to pick-up these gems - Nike Air Pegasus 83's ... in suede!

Image

My other favorite sneakers that I've had since the 90's are my Adidas shell toes. But they're worn mostly when I cut my lawn.

Image

Around the same time, couldn't resist buying a pair of Adidas Chronic hemp sneakers. Still have them too but lots of holes. Maybe a few desperate burn marks.

The Nike Pegasus is coming back right now, they retail for about $120.
Like most things, sneaker culture included, what's old is NEW AGAIN!
The Pegasus is coming back....and the suede ones are quite popular.

You can never got wrong with the Adidas Superstar, the shoe made popular by RUN DMC. I actually don't have a new pair....the ones I had I beat to crap.

I picked up 4 pairs recently and I'm going to Nike in Barrie (Tanger outlet) on the weekend. Footlocker.ca has some good deals now (Back 2 School) ... but the discounts are not reflecting properly in cart. They have the worst customer service for what it's worth.

I picked up two pairs of these black Reeboks, these Polo shoes, and these Reebok colabo's !

Kid number two and less and less space daily means I'll need to stop..... just don't know when.

I'm hitting the Nike factory store next weekend !

I think my biggest problem is I don't wear the shoes. It's like I buy them, admire them, keep em in the box and that is that.

I really need to wear them and enjoy them.

I picked up my 2nd pair of these Bo Jackson trainers. Love his entire shoe line with Nike. These were the last pair on the shelf and I got them for a steal @ the Nike store in Barrie. So nice I bought em twice !

Image

Snagged these Puma shoes the other day. I love the colorway. Wore them out on Saturday, super comfy.

Image

I just picked up my 3rd PAIR of these Reebok X Garbstore collaborations.
I originally got a pair for $50 which I thought was a steal. But these days if it doesn't say Nike it doesn't always sell! They went on sale for $40, so I snagged a second. Then they went on sale for $30 so I got a 3rd.
I'll probably never wear em.... but ah well . That just is what it is !

Image

The print shop I used to deal with when I was doing the odd graphic design work has this awesome 12" x 18" adhesive back paper. $2 for a printed page. When I buy shoes from a clearance center they tend to have no top to the box. So I have a sh*t ton of clear boxes in the closet. My latest project (I'll post a pic later) was to design replacement shoe lables to fit on the boxes. I used the original info, shoe name, colorway, ID #, but took out the UPC code and added a pic of the shoe to make it easy to locate in a sea of well over 120 pairs.

Mike, I'm also a sneakerhead and also looking for some pics of your finished multi mame shooter that you did and posted up on klov... Pic links seem to be broken!

I got the bo's sc2 trainers in black, charcoal and dayglow. They were a throw back to my first airs that were white, grey, black and infrared!

I never did complete the project.
I did most of the PC work (re: multi shooter) , Mala, custom layout, emulators, ROM's, and custom ROM sets with ROMLister.
But I decided to use the Aim Trak guns on my other cabinet.
I wanted to use a KVM switch and add the gun PC , but never did.
Just another example of me getting high on an idea and cooling down.
I scrapped the PC, but pulled the hard drive should I ever wanna revisit the idea.
But with kid two coming I doubt I would.

On topic of shoes ............ Bo Jackson's sneakers (Air Trainer SC's) are some of my favorite of all times.
I think the next biggest shoe in the game will be the Victor Cruz sneaker which I read was called the Trainer 5.

I got seriously inspired by a gun cab build! But I woke up and realized that for the cost of an empty cab, I can get another ps2 and match 27" CRTs from craigslist/Kijiji.

So enter the coop iLink time crisis build

Been critical about sneakers for over a couple decades now but realize now after having kids of my own, I hardly wear a good deal of them... And now unless I'm in an outlet mall south of the boarder and the back wall is 30% off, I'm not so much about buying them, but scoring them at an amazing deal.

Air max 90s in royal white and grey, $27
Sc2 mids, $35
Lebrons 7 in jordan 11 bred, $60

I can't remember the rest but I haven't paid >50% of retail for some select airs in a long time...

I've been watching a s**t ton of videos online these days about sneaker restoration.
So cool man, I was able to defog all my air baubles.
I'm looking for some ideas of a nice cleaning solution.
I was going to try some Jason Mark stuff, but I wonder if some good ol mild dish soap would do the trick.
I got a few pairs I'd like to a lace swap on and bring back to life a lil.
Shoes still look good, but a cleaning, perhaps try my hand at repainting the midsoles.
