F'ing City News, went to read the site/page, and each time I try, it flips me to some other news article. Can't read the first sentence of this one!

Using IE is like making burgers or a steak in a frying pan...it works, but you really shouldn't do it.

Funny, I can't tell you how many customers I have had with compromised Chrome in the past year. Nothing via IE. :)

Tell them not to accept the warning asking them to install the plugin when they browse those porn sites ;-)

Pinocchio...Chrome hasn't allowed NPAPI Plugins for a long time now, has NEVER allowed ActiveX(THE reason to not use IE) and IE STILL isn't even classified as an actual web browser by the W3(It's an HTML content renderer because it STILL refuses to comply with standards).

No browser protects against stupid, you can download and install malware via anything.

I agree with Ken here - ActiveX is just a big security issue, and even Mozilla is phasing out NPAPI in Firefox (it's just used now for Flash and Silverlight support, but that will end). Eith Edge out, Microsoft finally knows that they lost their bid to win the standards war with IE long ago (any Web dev knows how much they had to change to make it work with IE). In our own organization, we've basically told people not to use IE anymore to view public websites because of all the issues now where site content doesn't work or isn't rendered properly (we force Chrome installs).
