Just checked online and the CDN list price is expected to be $219 CDN (which is less than the exchange rate, so kudos to AMD for being fair).

I had to replace my kids 4850 due to a lack of DX11 support(Gave me an excuse to buy an R9 390X for my system)...so I'm guessing you haven't played quite a few games released in the last 1-2 years.

Some of my students are in the same boat - they need a more powerful graphics card to play the upcoming No Man's Sky, and this one fits into their budget (best bang for your buck right now).....

No not really, most recent games would be Civilization Beyond Earth and Borderlands 2. The 4850 runs them well enough but with no official driver support past windows 8.0 (I run 8.1) it would be nice to have something current.

Yeah - for the 8GB model (the 4GB is $199 US)....and it looks like all Canadian vendors are just stocking the 8GB model.

How does this thing compare to a gtx 780ti? I see ram wise its 2 gigs larger but what about clock speeds etc? My friend picked up a ti for 400 bucks... Running crossfired titans, its more than VR capable lol
