Value Village Finds

Postby CanadianRyGuy » Tue Sep 13, 2016 7:50 am

Just curious if anyone has ever found anything arcade related at a Value Village? Post any other gaming related finds! Any stores that seem better than others?
Once found a mint in box Maniac Mansion for the NES for $90

They smoke that crazy stuff to hide the smell of intense body odour (I can't even go into the VV in Cambridge it's so bad  )

90 for maniac mansion CIB, minty as it might be still is on the high side imo

CIB it really is like 40 - 60 dollar game. I'd say you paid eBay prices on that one.
I want more games...

Picked up a working Vectrex at the VV in Cambridge about 8 years ago for $30.
I was broke at the time and debated about picking it up for about 5 minutes... glad it was still there!

Always wanted one!

Yeah, $90 would definitely be ebay price, in fact I'm pretty sure that's how they price their merchandise. But I had a 30% off card for that one. The store in Mississauga has had a handheld Nintendo Donkey Kong for months now that nobody seems interested at the $149.99 price.

Certain stores seem better than others, so far the Belleville store seems to price stuff the most reasonably. Picked up some N64 carts there, including GoldenEye and Cruise n' USA for $5 each and a baggie of Warhammer 40k Tyranid armies, including 2 carnifexs for $3.99.
