Fake Ebay Sellers (Rant)

I just wanted to rant on how cheesed I am with this fake Ebay sellers.
I recently placed 3 separate orders for some man cave goodies.
One Chun-Li figure, one Mai from KOF figure, and a G1 Optimus Prime KO (complete with trailer).

Sure enough I got my refunds for 2 of the 3 orders (as they did not arrive),
the Optimus Prime I'm still waiting til the shipping date comes due to open a case.
It's upsetting when your looking forward to getting something and realize you got scammed. Pisses me off !

I ordered this Optimus March 23rd, says it could come anytime between then and JUNE 24th.
And of course, despite the feedback being good, and multiple people posting they got their Prime, now feedback is private.
Seller now has no items for sale and all communication with the seller is ignored.
I must have sent a half dozen requests and questions to the seller as the "shipping information" has nothing beyond March 29th.

At least Ebay does make good and has great buyer protection.
It sucks waiting 3 months mind you for a refund.
It's just a real shame, I hope these fake sellers take the hit in the pocket not E-bay.

Seems to be a bit of an issue with sellers from china (I'm assuming it's china since you said you were buying a Optimist Prime KO).

Still it sucks, it's just glad ebay and paypal have such good buyer protection.

The buyer protection is no doubt great.
It makes me nervous to order anymore of these KO Transformers.
I was looking to order the G1 Dinobots.....now I'm not so sure.

I'd love to think my items are still going to show up, but I know better.

Skip EBay, go straight to Aliexpress. There are dozens of G1 ko’s on there and they are cool.

Awesome @ rockinganker ,

I'll have to skip over and take a look.
The shelves in the cave could use some fresh goodies.

Happy to report, which I never had a reservation about, I got a full refund from eBay for the items that did not arrive.
Sad as I was really looking forward to the arrival, but it is what it is !
On a positive tip, I did manage to order one/win another G1 Optimus Prime for just a few bucks more than the no show !
So now I've got 2, I'll sell one.

Man have I gone down a rabbit hole for these Transformers..........so cool !
I gotta get a Soundwave and I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOO tempted to get the Dinobots !

That aside, I did order 4 items from another seller, some cool collectible stuff to display in the cave...........yeah, they fu*t me ! Clearly they ain't going to to show. Ebay dispute process started.

I've heard some of the KO dinobots are pretty good. It's too bad Hasbro lost the original molds as I would buy a reissue of them in a heart beat.

Man, I had so many G1 Transformers and Gobots, bitd (10-year old in '84), including all the Dinobots! ... and minicars, Constructicons and Insecticons. ... and Jetfire! Soundwave with all the micro-cassettes was one of my favs. Never had Megatron which is a bit ironic.

Gave them all away to a work-buddy-at-the-time's younger brother (~'94). gosh. Hope he enjoyed them.

CGCC'ers, ROLL OUT!

It's funny you say that.
I had a NES with a TON of carts that I gave to my buddy Tony to borrow, as by this time I had an N64.
I'm sure his sister sold it at a garage sale, and when I tell him (to this day) I want it back he laughs, doesn't think I'm serious, but I am.
Then I was perhaps onto a PS1 or PS2 at the time, so I lent my buddy a shit ton of N64 games.
Now for the life of me I could not tell you what items are mine, what are his. Regret sets in !
And with toys, like you said, I gave many many many away to my young cousins back in the day.
Only now to wish I had them to display.

That's a story of pain. See what happens when you try to be nice 24 years ago? You get bit in the ass 24 years later!!

For the record, I'm a transformer noob. You're all speaking Greek to me. But I can appreciate the pain of giving stuff away and regretting it years later. Now where's that Vader "NOOOOO" gif.

Well, I'm optimistic that the little-boy-at-the-time was very appreciative and returned the favour and was generous to others after-the-fact. :)

I have to admit that, last October, I did buy a Transformers Masterpiece MP-21 Bumblebee off epay. It cost me $38 CAD, shipped, and came in a couple weeks. Nifty! It's only $32.66 CAD now.

Btw, the seller is also selling the Transformers G1 DINOBOTS Grimlock/Slag/Sludge/ Snarl/ Swoop - 5-pack for $168.56 CAD, shipping included.

Image

... and the seller is selling the THF-01J Transformer MP-13 Soundwave & 6 tapes for $103.22 CAD!

Gah. They all look cool, darnit. Must resist ... and think ... what my kids ... would appreciate ... instead of what ... I like(d).

I would order from this seller again: https://www.ebay.ca/usr/xchzhh9999?_trk ... 7675.l2559

I picked up multiples of Walmart's reissue of Hot Rod, picked up Optimus Prime on clearance for $50 (+ tax), also from Walmart.
From what I understand Walmart will be doing a reissue of Soundwave, however I'm unsure when the release is.

I'm super happy with my KO Optimus and most definitely want to buy more. Dinobots I'd say are the top of the list.

I found some old Transformers inserts online and was amazed when reflecting on how many I had back in the day. All that survived were a Sharkticon, and the complete Predaking. Over and above that all were thrown out or given away.

I've started looking for old toys and random stuff (junk as my wife would say) when I come across it. Looking now to add these elements that remind me of youth to the basement.

I'm off to check out that link to see what bots are available from a trusted seller ! Thanks
