Browser Cookies

Postby Trellisaze » Mon Jun 30, 2003 11:44 pm

This is a bit embarrasing since I do software programming for a living,
but my IE6 browser cookies are wreaking havoc with my forum login.

Whenever my cookies are cleared, it works great. But otherwise, I'm forced to log
-in twice. Anyone else have a similar problem or know the way to configure my browser to fix it?

Actually I was about to post the same
thing. Everytime I try to login from work (I have it autologin at home) It kicks me back to the main page so I have to login again. This only happens at this
forum, I go to a couple of other phpBB forums and can login with no problem on the first try.

I'm looking into it but I think it may have something to do with the fact that the cookies from this forum and other PHPBB forums conflict. Does it solve
the problem if you select "log me in automatically"?

I think everything should be fine now. I believe there was an issue where in one spot the domain was set
as "cgcc.ca" and in a nother spot it was set as "www.cgcc.ca" let em know if you experience any more problems.

I was about to say YES, but as I went to reply I realized that I was logged out. I use the log me in automatically on every forum I go to
& this is the first time it did not log me in automatically. It might be something with my computer though.

Ignoring this time YES it does work every
time if I select log me in automatically. I probably been here about 100 times now and this is the first time it did not log me in automatically. So I assume
that it was a problem with my computer.

It may ask every one to log in again as settings
have changed. You may have also been prompted because I was in the middle of making changes.

Second time today I've logged in, and it worked great both times. Thanks!
