Dragon Lair

Postby Durk the Man » Wed Sep 08, 2004 5:32 pm

I just wanted to say Hi first, since I'm new to this forum (really cool, I'm
into X-box myself). I just got a Dragon Lair out of a building that my Aunt owns in Stratford (Ontario), I don't think it's been touched in awhile (it's
pretty dirty!!) any how, I was wondering if I should just plug this arcade machine in? and see if it works? will I need to put money in before it starts? I
think I'll hose it off first (it's really gross) before I bring it into the house. There are some other games (10-15) there too, are they worth anything to
anybody here?? I don't really have the room for more than one.

Depends on the price, but I'm sure most guys here would be interested. Do you
happen to know what the other games were (and if theres a Centipede, I call dibs. Haha)

I will be happy to come over and take away
any games that are there and you don't want. Just let me know what you want for them. I'm in St Thomas, so I'm nice and close. If you want a hand with
your Dragon Slayer, let me know. Oh, and don't take a hose to it, just a little soapy water in a bucket and wipe it down. Before you plug it in, open up the
back and make sure nothing is inside that shouldn't be.
This was probably nothing more than a +1 post.

Wow,
that was a fast response. How should I get into the back of the machine, it's locked and I don't have any keys, are they easy to pick the lock? I could use
a screwdriver and a hammer, and try to knock it apart. Once I'm inside what should I look at? It's a little late to wash it with a sponge, my little
brother washed it off with the hose earlier tonight, I'll have to leave it outside to dry off now.
I'll try and go and see what other games are there
tomorrow, my aunt said she had alreay talked to someone from around London, that was going to buy them all, but she though he had offered too much for them,
so she hadn't called him back yet. She doesn't have any money into them, they were left in the building quite awhile ago buy one of her tennants, maybe 15
yrs ago she said? She had rented the place out, and the guy missed his rent so he got locked out, she had them moved upstairs, and thats where they sit, with
alot of other crap, I mean alot of crap! Maybe we could all offer to clean it up for her, in trade for a game or two? I'll ask her.

I would do chores in exchange for games any day! Well, except a school day.

Best way to get into the game without a key is to just drill the
center of the lock out. If you use a hammer you run the risk of damaging the back door, you don't want to do that. Talk to your Aunt and let us know. I have
a truck and would be happy to come haul junk away in exchange for a game or two or a break in a price on a few of them.

Hi.

Durk, if you want to sell that Dragons Lair, send me a PM man.
I'll make you a VERY sweet offer.

I might also be interested in
buying your other games too, but for sure the Dragons Lair, send me a list or post it here.
LMK if you're interested.
I'll pick it up too so need to
worry about shipping it.

Jeez, It seems like all of you guys want to talk me out of my Drangon Lair?? I don't need the money, I was thinking that I might
get some help with something I don't know much about, but it seems that the almighty dollar gets in the way.
As for my Aunt, she's just going to
leave things alone of now, she's also kinda ticked off at me me for bugging her aabout the games, she said I was lucky to get what I got.
I guess I'll
just browse the web some more and find the info I need, Thanks anyways :(

help you work on it some if it's fixable. PM me back.

Don't let everyones
interest in your game discourage you from asking questions here. It's a popular game, it's to be expected. I think I can speak for almost everyone here by
saying that if you need help with it, all you have to do is ask.

If you can, you should come to the Starburst Coin auction on Sept 18, and you will
be able to meet most of the local group there. I'm going, I'm sure Maxlords will be going, Monkeybug, Diamond Dave and Erdna77 should be there as well.

Don't let it bug you, Everybody here (except Maxlords) wants a Dragon's Lair, Hell I'd even
settle for a Space Ace. Good luck and don't give up on fixing your game.
