General rule - you want it gone fast, list it for free.
In that case, there's no time to hum and haw about it. Someone probably got some decent parts out of the deal, including several VGA CRTs that would fit nicely in a cocktail or cabaret ;-)

Free can also cause you a huge headache...50 people tell you they want it, nobody actually gets off their ass to come get it and you're putting them each on notice that they can have it if the person ahead of them flakes out.

I've thrown perfectly good stuff in the garbage for this reason.
