FS: Arcade repair equipment (LOTS!)

Postby jasonec » Thu Jun 29, 2017 10:00 pm

OK - I've had to make some big boy decisions today.

The area at my work where I've been able to store my electronic repair equipment for repairing arcade PCBs is now being reclaimed for another use.
Which means all my stuff has to go....and I don't have the room at my house to set up a repair lab.
And if I'm honest with myself, I no longer have the time to dedicate to electronic tinkering anymore, and I've got spare PCBs for all of my games anyways.

So.......I'm selling off all of my equipment!!!

  • HP Spectrum Analyzer (Agilent 8561B)
  • IST VectorVGA (converts a vector signal to a VGA signal if you don't have a vector driver/CRT - works well for testing, but sucks for playing any vector game other than Tempest)
  • Several Elenco logic probes (some with pulsers, and one is high speed)
  • 13" WG K5800 CRT (with burn - good for testing games only)
  • Commodore 1702 monitor (modified for pretty much any input by myself)
  • Hakko 808 desoldering kit (full kit)
  • Weller 51 soldering station with mounts and fume extractor
  • A TON of parts (caps, resistor packs, various ICs such as POKEYs, ROMs, RAMs, flip-flops, etc.) - there are probably 5000+ pieces in total, and half of them are brand new!

Take it all for $1000, or trade me some nice JAMMA shmups or something.
And before you ask.....NO, I will not show you how to use all this equipment!

If you ever decide to split up the lot, I'd be interested in the desoldering kit.
Thanks and good luck with the sale!

wait...so does this mean we have to find someone new to fix all our old crap? I think you should have cleared this with the community before making such a hasty decision! What if the new guy is surly (er) or what if he actually wants money to fix things and not trades!!! :D

Haha!
Not sure if the new guy would continue fixing boards for small trades, but he'd be crazy if he does

I need to look at CGCC more often. :(

You wouldn't believe the number of people on CGCC and FB who wanted this junk!
And yes, the 808 is by far the best desoldering kit IMO.....I'm just glad to be rid of it all
