If you have only one room in your house and the drawers are usable for socks and underwear storage, yay. Anything else, nay.

I feel like it oddly fits in with the rest of the decor in the house, like the odd collectible plates on the wall. Any other house and I'm sure this would seem out of place.

Depends on the context, but from what I can see from the pic I'd say it's a yay in this case. There's a lot to be said about getting your games looking nice if you live with an S.O. that does not understand the beauty and artistry of videogames. For example; My wife and her girlfriends are not against videogames, but they are not at all "about" them. I have a beautiful walnut CMVS (one of the infamous Analogue Interactive units), with two matching walnut sticks. When I first pulled it out it was not something they they could immediately say was crap, gaudy, or just a toy. When I booted up "Bust-A-Move" they were both hooked.
