SOLVED: Pentranic CH-281 B+ issue

Postby mdeslaur » Thu Jul 12, 2018 6:14 am

Hi,

I replaced the HOT on a dead Pentranic CH-281, and I now have a picture. However, the horizontal size is too wide and the horizontal position makes the picture distort and stretch about a fourth of the way down the screen.

I measured the B+, and it's currently at 155v instead of the 115v as listed in the schematic.

Schematic is available here:
http://slot-tech.com/amusements/moni.../pentranic.jpg

Adjusting the B+ potentiometer doesn't change anything, B+ stays at 155v.

Any pointers?

Thanks!

Schematic doesn't seem to work. I would guess another component but have you checked to make sure the pot works? Just turn off the Mon and use ohm setting on your mm should be able to make sure the pot itself still functions. Image

Oh, bad URL. Here is the right schematic URL:

Yes, I've checked the pot.
