Raiden - counter stop

Once you get to counter stop on Raiden, the game skips the next stage 1 and goes directly to stage 2.....and also turns automatically to free play! It took me just over 8.5 hours.

I was off a bit on my time estimate - I originally wanted to get to counter stop by tag-teaming with someone else, but they chickened out and I ended up having to do the whole 8.5 hours by myself....

Rats, no - was planning on taping it, but that would require a second person (and that person chickened out )
I do have a few tapings of multi-million point games of Galaga on the hardest difficulty though, including one that was done at the Ontario Science Centre during Game ON 2.0 back in 2013....those were a lot less than 8.5 hours though

It's actually not that hard - just play it on a regular basis (e.g. twice a day at the same time) and you'll build a lot of the patterns into muscle memory

I hate raiden because I like it so much but suck at it. I have a cabinet set up specifically for shmups and every time I play it I get destroyed.

You definitely don't want to play Raiden 2000: Operation Hell Dive then......it's like getting a mental enema......
That being said, on a good day, I can complete all of the levels on Raiden 2000 on a single credit
