So I picked up a Google Home Mini from Best Buy.
I really like it and the kids are freaking out over it.
I just set up my daughter as a user, the fact that Google Home Mini knows her stuffed bunnies name and her dogs name is insane to her.
Funny thing, she said something to it and it responded with, "My team is helping me learn" (or something like that) and my daughter looks over at me and says, "Daddy....how did they get a team in there?" I was laughing so loud.
That said this thing is cool for $40. I actually ordered a 2nd unit, the Google Home (non mini) was sold out everywhere.
I've been using it as my alarm, just to play music in the morning when getting ready, voice control of my Chromecast/Netflix.
Just today I wanted to see if it worked with Soundcloud, it doesn't ....... yet ! But I took a stab and asked it to play one of my podcasts, I didn't reference any app or anything and it started up. I thought that was cool as f**k. For $40 + free shipping from most retailers I think it is well worth it.
My second unit should arrive shortly and I will indeed get the non mini version when available.
I'm really impressed.

"The team" is a neural network that will now know everything about you that you haven't yet entered as a search term. Kinda creepy.

I'm looking into getting some smart plugs to use with my arcade cabinets and my Google Home.
I saw these Sonoff relay switches I wanna look into.
All in all really happy with the Google Home.
