Re: Sad day for my PS3's

I'm glad it sorted itself out, that sort of thing just makes me nervous of any type of digital downloads. I'm still avoiding them out of principal. I also don't really check back with this site too often so it's surprising that I saw your post so soon after it's been posted. Just a nice coincidence ...

Re: Sad day for my PS3's

I dont suppose anyone here knows what i can do to get these consoles un-banned by chance? I'm not sure about getting them un-banned but I'm pretty sure there are ways you can crack/mod a PS3 to play backed up games in case your console dies and you need to get those rare games again. People are try...

Re: what do you think of people who do this?

If the companies are able to keep up with the supply relatively quickly their gimmick won't really work. With most retail stores getting shut down because of Covid there's probably going to be a higher demand for people buying these from scalpers. The few retail stores that may both stock these and...

Re: MacBook Repair?

My screen stopped working right after an OS upgrade (Sierra to High Sierra). It's very suspicious. Could also just be a loose cable, or simple burnt out board component. Was the screen ever replaced previously? I remember an issue Louis Rossmann said on a few of his videos where Apple made an updat...

Re: What is the best Sega Genesis/Master System?

I'm kind of wondering why you and so many people now want to play vintage games but only on non-original hardware. What's wrong with using an actual Sega Genesis to play Sega Genesis games? Do people just want a challenge now to get games to play right, using a real console is too easy?

Re: Anyone selling their Super Sprint?

Photo backgrounds look different? Both have a large soccer poster behind the SS! Both SS's have red start buttons! Both sellers are selling MK4! What a coincidence! :D There's a more simple explanation for what's going on. One of the sellers is stalking the other one, trying to exactly copy their l...

Re: [FS] Huge gaming collection for sale [Over 5000 items, location: CZECHIA, EUROPE]

I am located in the Czech Republic, Europe, so personal pickup would be preferred as it is a very large collection. If you really prefer everything to be picked up in person then why register to a Canada specific internet forum? Last I checked the Czech Republic isn't reachable by car from anywhere...

Re: Anyone have/use a HD Antenna?

We've been using basic rabbit ears on top of the TV and can get CBC, CTV, TVO, French CBC, and Global. It's the same antenna we've had back when analog was in use, there's really no difference between an analog and digital antenna besides marketing. We tried using a large "digital/HD" ante...

Re: Dead cart :(

If it's the board that's defective you could swap the chip with another game, like a sports game that uses the same board.

Could be something simple like a bad solder joint with the chip.

Re: Anybody have Zelda for the NES or N64?

Or just get the Gamecube versions. No idea what the current prices are on those. Personally I don't like the 3D Zeldas so maybe your wife won't either if she's new to the series, I'd suggest getting the various Gameboy/GBC/GBA Zelda games. Also there was a direct sequel for A Link to the Past on the...

Re: What happened to this site?

It's a combination of several things. There's not much else to keep people interested in checking the site often either, like seeing other peoples' finds. There aren't really any games to find anymore, at least not often enough. Any other discussions like favourite games for certain consoles were mo...

Re: Anyone ever take apart a cabinet to move it?

Do you have any appliances in your apartment? Fridges and stoves are usually 30 inches so there has to be a way to get them inside.
