Cotton Candy Machine Repair Help

I'm F'n lost.
I bought this machine in like 2015.
The belt just went.
I got a replacement belt from Ali Express and thought OK, I'll take it apart.
For the life of me I can not get this head/spinner off.
I can't find info online for the model, I even dug out the sellers old contact info but they've never repaired a unit.
I don't know that perhaps this thing is welded on by melted surge or what.
But I can not get it off, I assumed it simply rotated off -- but that doesn't seem to work.
Perhaps I'm missing something easy so I thought I'd ask !

* NEWER units seem to have a collar type set up that removes and then the top lifts off. For this particular model the top will not simply lift over the head of the machine. The head needs to be removed. I looked for a set screw, something - but I'm lost.
My brother in law tends to be handy, but he, my wife and I can't crack this code.

I've never worked on one of these so I'm not 100% sure but it might have a tapered shaft and you might need a puller to loosen if off.

I used to repair fitness equipment and often times for safety (since it spins so fast) the units would have a tapered shaft. It shouldn't take much force at all (don't just crank the heck out of it as you'll warp it), just a slight amount of firm pressure should do it.

It's funny you bring up the puller . My brother in law thought the same thing, but the one he had was not big enuff. We've already kinda damaged it now (warped!) . Perhaps we can fix it, perhaps we cant . At this point we are more pissed than anything . Perhaps I'll pick up this pulled and give it a go!
