--> HANDY LINKS (Info, Pin/Vid Parts, etc.)

Postby cooke » Wed Nov 01, 2006 11:22 am

Here's a list of vid/pin-related sites frequented by collectors. I've tried to categorize the links for ease of use, but some contain
information pertaining to multiple categories. There are many other sites not on this list, but these seem to be among the more
popular/well-maintained pages. If you have any suggestions for changes or additions, let me know.

I found some hard-to-find chips at http://www.arcadechips.com I bought quite a few different parts there such as:

LF13333 quad analog switch for my Cinematronics monitor, super rare part for reasonable price.

Loads of NOS 4116 (12V) drams for my Defender, worked great. Only $12 for 24 pieces.

LH5116 to replace several of my 2016 and 6116 srams in several game boards.

2716 eproms and other assorted sram, bprom, etc.

You can buy online, some datasheets provided online, and overall my experience was good, no regrets after buying stuff there.

With regards to arcadechips.com, there's been a lot of info on the newsgroups lately that he's having heaps of trouble keeping up with demand for his products and often takes months to fill orders (if they're filled at all). I hear his communication skills leave much to be desired as well.

Obviously, as with all on-line retailers, it helps to do a little research before ordering from them for the first time to ensure that you're not sending your money into a deep, dark abyss.

Caveat emptor.

www.pinrestore.com

I just had some questionable dealings with the owner of Pinrestore. So I would probably try another site, if they have the same items, for now.

On another note... I had an issue with an order from Pinball Life. Terry fixed it up, no questions asked. Great customer service.

There is also another Canadian site to add: http://www.canadapinballparts.com/

And Pinball Inc, makers of high quality replacement ramps (and new owner of IPB's old stock). http://www.pinballinc.com/.
