Edited! Kinda fun documenting video game genealogy! I imagine a lot of cabs on CGCC can trace their way back to you at some point on their journey.

Someone should trace the genealogy of the famous Snapple machine...... :D

Lol. I really just meant to add some neat info about the game. I got it from the op.

If I could, I would get those kind of details for all of my cabs -- what operator had them, what route/arcade, etc. If I still have an op sticker on the machine, I keep it. I'm an archivist by trade, so the history of the machine is equally interesting as the gameplay, especially when discussing the collection with friends or visitors.

For example, my Space Firebird cocktail was owned by Donald Fielding & Co, and while cleaning I found two receipts for the "split" between the op and the location. Nearly 30 years ago, you could play Space Firebird at the 4 Corners Inn in Osgoode Township from at least 9 September 1988 to 9 February 1989 when the machine was taken out (if I understand the receipt carefully). I haven't able to confirm the address on-line, so I'll have pull out some old city directories to see if I can find out.

If this rings a bell for anyone in the Osgoode area, let me know! :D

Ah.....I see the typical 50/50 split was held true between the operator and establishment ;-)

I also like to see the details of where a machine has been.

My HS5 cab was owned by Cambridge Coin (since it has the "For service call Cambridge Coin sticker on the bezel"). But on the back of the cab there are also stickers for "The Forum" (a roller rink in Cambridge) and "Pioneer Sportsworld" (an amazing amusement park that closed years ago), so it definitely spent time at those two locations (either owned by Cambridge Coin or otherwise). And since it has some mild Raiden burn in, and the CRT is original, it was that game all the while.

My Pac-man cabaret had a Midway service ticket inside that said that it was upgraded to Galaga in 1982 by Tom Edwards (with a Thornhill address) - I managed to track him down via his son - he's retired now, but was the Midway technician for most of SW Ontario for over 20 years. He upgraded a lot of Pac-man games sold to bars to shooters like Galaga (apparently, Pac-man didn't make any money in the bars and people were bitching).
