About CGCC.ca

Canada’s home for classic arcade, coin-op, and console collecting — built by collectors, for collectors, since the community’s earliest forum days.

Who We Are

CGCC.ca is a community driven hub for Canadian video game and coin-operated machine collectors. What started as a small discussion forum has grown into a full resource covering classic arcade history, restoration guidance, city specific hunting guides, an interactive collector’s map, and a nationwide network of members who trade, trade knowledge, and gather at events throughout the year.

We are not a company or a retailer. We are a volunteer run community built around a shared passion: keeping Canada’s gaming and coin-op history alive, one cabinet, cartridge, and conversation at a time.

Our Story

Early Days
CGCC.ca began as a small forum for Canadian collectors to trade, discuss, and document classic arcade and console gaming, filling a gap left by larger, US-centric collecting communities.
Growth
As membership grew past a thousand collectors, dedicated boards emerged: The Swap Shop for trading, Coin-Op Corner for arcade and pinball talk, and High Scores for competitive score chasing.
Expansion
The community expanded beyond the forum with member written articles, a Canadian city guide series, and an interactive map connecting collectors to thrift shops, flea markets, and fellow members nationwide.
Today
CGCC.ca continues as an active, moderated community, connected to real world events like the Starburst Coinop Auctions and the Toronto Pinball & Gameroom Show, with members across every province.
